Privacy Policy

Descles ("we", "us") operates visa-checker.descles.com. This policy explains what data the service handles, why, and what rights you have.
1. Your application never reaches us
The tools run entirely in your browser. Your answers are stored in that browser's local storage; the forms you open are read in the page; the packages are assembled in the page and downloaded by your browser. We operate no endpoint that receives an application form, a supporting document, a study plan, an answer you typed, or a package you generated.
- Form files. A form you choose is read in your browser to write your answers into it. It is not uploaded, and we do not distribute official forms.
- Reading a screenshot of your checklist. Recognising the text of that image happens in your browser. If you prefer, paste the text instead.
- Nothing is inferred from your documents. Every value that ends up in a form comes from something you typed.
2. What we do handle
- Your purchase. Payments are processed by Waffo.com Limited, trading as Waffo Pancake, our Merchant of Record and the seller on your receipt. Waffo is a separate controller: it handles your card and billing details and any sales tax under Waffo's own privacy policy. Its notice at checkout reads "This order is processed by our online reseller & Merchant of Record, Waffo Pancake, who also handles order-related inquiries and returns." What reaches us is the order record: an order reference and id, the product, the amount and tax, the payment status, and the email address you gave at checkout.
- Your unlock reference. To open the tools after paying, the browser sends the transaction reference from your receipt to our server, which looks it up in our own order record. That record is written from a signed notification Waffo sends us when a payment completes — we do not ask Waffo about you while you are on the page. The reference is about a payment; it says nothing about your application. If a purchase is confirmed we set one cookie on your browser holding that reference and a signature, valid for 90 days, so you are not asked again.
- Ordinary server logs. Our host records requests to this site in the normal way (address, time, path). Those logs cover pages, not file contents.
3. Cookies and local storage
vc_license— set by us after a verified purchase, so the tools stay unlocked. Strictly functional: without it you would re-enter your receipt reference on every visit.vc.answers,vc.forms,vc_licensein local storage — your answers and the forms your checklist named, kept in your browser so a page reload does not lose your work. Clearing site data deletes them; we never had a copy.- Waffo sets its own cookies during checkout to process the payment and prevent fraud, under its policy linked above.
4. Who else is involved
Waffo Pancake (payments, receipts, refunds, tax), and our hosting provider (serving this site and the two endpoints described above). We do not sell data, we do not run advertising or analytics tracking, and there is no third-party tag on this site.
5. Keeping and deleting
Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Because your application data never reaches us, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf: clearing your browser's site data removes every trace of it, and unsubscribing from nothing is required. To have your order record removed where the law allows, email outreach@descles.com.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port data, and to object to processing. Write to outreach@descles.com. Because we hold almost nothing about you, most requests resolve to a statement of what we hold: an order record.
7. Children
The service is meant for people applying for a study permit, and for parents or guardians helping a minor apply. It is not directed at children on their own.
8. Changes
If this policy changes in substance, the date at the top changes, and a material change will be announced on the site. See also our terms and refund policy.
